6 speed bikes
Am I the only one who feels like they're constantly between gears when riding with guys on 5 speed bikes? I'm sure it's just because I'm used to my old Dyna, and I know that there really isn't much of a difference between them. However, I figured I'd check with the experts!

I use my 6th gear like an overdrive on the motorway once I get above 70 mph - flip up into 6th' feet on the highway pegs and cruise.......drops the revs and saves gas. Don't ever get up into 6th whilst urban driving.

I used to find 6th on my fatboy a little weak for roll-on accelaration so would stay in 5th until 70+mph. I recently change the cams on the bike and now 6th is great, a lot more responsive andI generally change up at 60mph on the freeway/long country roads.

Yes, if they stay around 60. I usually don't use 6th until 70 or so.

It seems like the people with 5 speeds don't maintain a constant speed. Just when i shift up to 6, they slow down enough to make the motor bog down. Thus, shift back to 5. Then they speed up enough to shift to 6 and so on and so on
