Congratulations, Dad. Yes, it is really tough having to leave the little fellow in the hospital and go home without him. Had to do that with my grandson and took his twin sister home. Tough, but he is now a strapping two year old. Good luck and best wishes to you and your family.
My thoughts and prayers are with you. I know this must be a worrisome and painful time for you. I have given birth to three children myself, two boys and one girl. Fortunatly no complications.
I'm sure your son will be home soon and fill your house with joy
Big Congratulations and what a cutie!!! Sounds like he is really doing very well. You didn't say how much he weighs. Medicine has made HUGE strides when it comes to managing preemies so your little guy should do just fine. I know it's scary with him being early and having to leave him at the hospital, but he should be just fine. Both of my sisters had preemies at 6mos and around 3lbs and they are both now happy, healthy teenagers. Hang on and best wishes.
congradulations to you and your wife hes a good lookin kid.both of my kids came about a month and a half early you cant tell it now can hardly keep up with them i will say a prayer for all of you please keep us up to date.
thank you all so much. this forum is truly the greatest thing. although in tears now, reading all the responses makes me feel so much better. you people are great. truly great. Well, yes GAgirl, i forgot his birth size. He was 4 lb. 12 ounes, and stretching out to 17 inches! really not too bad. My wife and I just got home from a long visit with him. while we were there, they had to put the little oxygen tubes in his nose to help him breathe, nothing horrible, just so he didnt have to fight the breathing as much, and we saw what a great difference that made. I will post some more pics soon when i have some time. i have just been clicking away with the camera so i can atleast bring him home in my pocket! He's doing great tho, his eating, digesting, and just doing what hes supposed to. It's really crazy, when i fell in love with my wife, i never thought i would love someone more than her. Now that he's here my love meter just spiked to an all time high!!! sorry if i seem like a dumb ace in my posts. long, hard days and nights.
