If I remember correctly the BPC originated in Duluth, bunch of Merchant Marine types who liked to ride between work assignments..

Things sure have changed. Notice the difference between the old and the new pics. Things have cleaned up a lot. These days I think if you get a smudge on your colors you have to get a new one. Back in the day you wore it until it rotted off ya!
