I live in Ontario, Canada and my 02 FLHT only gets 160 miles on a good day with our crap gas. Went to Niagara Falls NY filled up at Exxon and got 184 miles on that tank. Go figure.

Learn something everyday. Always thought gas was gas.

One tank is a wild guess at best. Need to average several tanks to be accurate, due to different gas, different terrain, slightly different top-off levels, different needs for full-throttle.

When I don't aggressively speed every moment I'm on the bike, I've gotten 40mph driving no more than 7mph over the limit, mostly 62 mph on the highway.

But since I have a big twinHarley, I go 10-25mph over the limit most of the time. Therefore, I get 32-36mpg.

I guess I bought the Harley to be cool & ride fast. Woulda' got a maxi-scooter if I wanted high mileage.

Just sayin'

Didn't buy the Deuce forhigh gas mileage. I simply stated that I was surprised it was doing so well.

At 10-25 MPH over the speed limit most of the time... you'll have bigger problems than gas mileage.

Just sayin'.

I'm convinced that most models don't achieve a uniform gas mileage. I have a friend who has the same year and model as me, and he gets around 54 mpg consistantly, and I get around 43, before and after my exhaust/air intake and PCIII were installed. Granted, he's about 20 to 30 pounds smaller, but he was a sport bike rider for a long time, and guns his bike from every stop. I've heard people with my bike getting everthing in between what him and I get. Your bikes are air cooled, but much larger then my 800, so I guess your better mileage is because of that.

I have a stage 1 on my Fat Boy and get 51 mpg. I think a lot of it is how you drive.
