I ride a lot of mixed riding, Traffic, Redlights, open Highway, you name it and on my best I only get about 42 miles per gallon, usually I have to stop at around 110miles and put in 4 gallons, but then I do ride it like I stole it.
I get about 42 on my 99 TC88Ultra. Kinda funny I got a friend with a Vstrom Susuki 1000cc, and he gets about 46 and his bike is like 300lbs lighter than mine and we ride alot together so we ride preaty much the same.
The 650 Vstrom is listed at 52MPG and the 04Sportster 883 I rode for a couple years was 100lbs heavier and it was always above 55mpg.
Seems like maybe Harley is doing something preaty good on MPG issures
For my regular riding I get 48-50 usually and lately I've been crusing at 10 over or so. On pure interstate I've gotten 58 once and usually it has been 52-54. Too bad I still can't get that far but it's alright.
