Default HELP rear axle won't come out

In the process of taking the rear wheel off my 02 Lowrider so I can replace the tire, drive belt is loose, cotter pin and nut off but theaxle is still tight and won't slide out. The nut side seems loose so it must be tight on the other side somewhere. The axle will turn with awrench but is tight, anyone have any suggestions??

Do you have the bike on a jack or lift? It helps if you have the bike raised just enough so that the rear tire is still slightly touching the ground, but not supporting the weight of the bike(if that makes any sense). Basically, there's a sweet spot where the bike is raised just enought that you could push the axle out with little effort. Hope that helps!

Dead blow mallet. Dont be afraid to give it a few good "taps". Also make sure rear wheel is raised. Probably a little gaulded, use anti -seize when reinstalling. Torque to specs.

Same thing happened with my buddy's bike, he used a piece of brass to hammer it through the wheel, thenclean axle when removed and use never seize when reinstalling.

Brass rod and hammer and a few good licks, and a few good licks, and a few more good licks and it finally comes out.

The axle is probly rusted to the bearings.Try some PB Blaster.Spray it on the axle at the bearings.Let it soak. Then use a BFG with a soft punchto prevent damage to the thread.
