I personally have taken the ERC course 4 times in the last five years. No Prob. If you're worried about laying it down get engine guards and some water heater hose.
If you do not have a M/C license take the BRC!!! Good safety stuff and their bikes! Should be a cake walk for you.
Check your state laws. You may be able to get your license by successfully completing the basic course. I allowed in your state, you will need your permit before class.

You'd be surprised how easy they get after you've practiced a few times. \\;Thought that would be my downfall in the ERC...I wiped it out with room to spare. \\; Not the best but not the worst!
I just completed the ERC. \\; Last year I took the basic. \\; You will do \\;the same maneuvers
in both with plenty of practice. \\; At the end there is a skills test that is the same as the initial test ride. \\; After passing the skills test, if you need a license you will get it\\; otherwise, you get a certificate of completion.
Guess I have been lucky I haven't gotten pulled over with the exception of a road block I went through but the cop recognized me from the gym so didn't give me any grief........ \\; Thanks for all the input!
