A Clark County jury on Friday found Yalanda Parrish guilty on one count of class B felony aggravated battery and one count of class C felony criminal recklessness stemming from what police say was a July 2008 road rage incident which left a man shot in the chest.
Parrishs sentencing has been set for Aug. 18. She faces six to 20 years in prison.
The jury, comprised of eight women and four men, deliberated for less than three hours.
Parrish, 39, of Jeffersonville, shot Wesley Mosier Jr., 54, of Corydon, on 10th Street at the intersection with Allison Lane. She claimed she shot Mosier in self-defense after he got off the motorcycle he was riding and approached the window of her SUV.
Well I hope all of the gun toting S-heads (on a bike or in a car) learn from this. Total waste.
So, am I a S-head just because I tote, or are you putting the S-heads that tote in a catagory of their own?
I am also within just a couple miles of where this incident happened, and I have casual knowledge of the cyclist involved.
I had to laugh today when I heard the defense attorney say that the defendant had cause to fear for her life because the cyclist was a white male on a motorcycle, and she was an African/American female. Do I see a contrast to the events of the cop up
East and the black professor? Why does racism only travel in one direction?
What about her son, he kicked the chit of that guy while he was laying on the ground after getting shot by that c-nt. I hope she runs into many biker babes in person, which she will.
Because a$$holes like Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson, et. al. continue to ensure that it does. It's also why it's totally ok for a black person to drop the N bomb, but God forbid if a white person does it.
I got called a racist today by a guy because I asked why Obama didn't have a Colt 45 w/ the cop and the professor. Even though they used to run ads w/ Billy Dee Williams promoting the product.
