He \\;\\\\\\;was able to shut the bike down what happened he hit a pot hole on the street to the club Broke his front drum brake linkage and some how messed up his throttle cable up at the grip. Now I can see the importance of a Idle cable. Never thought of it till I saw this happen if the bike had the 2nd cable the idle cable you can just move the grip foward to throttle down.
I never had any problems with a single throttle cable, as long as you check for fraying, maintain proper ajustment, return sping in order \\;and lube, no problems. This \\;is good practice \\;for any cable operated system. \\;
