I just got done putting on the Torres True dual conversion on my 2002 Road King http://www.tccbiker.com
It was easy to install and everthing was chromed to perfection - It all lined up perfect and fit together nicely - Tomorrow I'll test ride it if I can get a mounting tab (The tab that goes under the header clamp right under the seat area and bolts to triangle mount attached to the frame). Mine broke many 1000's of miles ago and I never replaced it. It costs about $7 and I've checked a few different shops - all said they had to order it. I was too lazy to order it then, but I will now if I have to.
The system sounds great with my slip-ons and looks good too. I'll take some pics tomorrow.
I bought mine off e-bay - the website has them at a higher price than e-bay. They answered my questions and the packaging was overboard. I can't wait to give them a run tomorrow if I can get that tab.
I was looking at those as well, vs fullsac. I emailed them about the right side replacement shield. They said it was 18.5 inches long. I havent had time to measure it again. If memory serves me between the two shields on the right they equal 24". Fullsac recomends you reverse the ft to rear. I did make my own for now till I figure out the way to go. My question is how does the shield look? Is there a bigger gap at the floor board?
I looked at the fullsac too - I didn't want to have the 2 piece heat shield on the right side. I didn't think I could make the seam "invisible". I really liked the look of the solid 1 piece running the full length of the pipe. Especially since that will be the focal point of the true duals (In my mind anyway). The left side looks pretty much the same.
I'm sure they both are the same other than that. It sure makes the front exhaust pipe look long...lol
You are right, there is now way to get rid of the seam. I does make for a cheap fix. Like I said I did make my own. Buddy has a exhuast shop and tried to make rear cyl pipe way to tight of a turn took two pieces made the bends, and then cut and welded them together. Looks like a stoop sign. Hey I tried, you get what you pay for. Just thought if I could save here then spend more on chrome or something else. Could probably get it with trial and error. Problem is can't ride till the job is done, and I need to get miles on bike before Myrtle.
Keep the shinny side up.
I have a complete stock exhaust a buddy gave me for the RK - I sat looking at the "Y pipe" many a night trying to come up with something - at least you got something out of it - me, I just got buzzed drinkin' beers trying to figure it out!

Funny you say that, I did the same. Was looking on ebay at stock systems and just the y pipe. Almost got one and was going to cut the down tube and plug it. For what I spent on the bike I just couldn't do it. $800 for reinharts is to much also. Geting ride of the cross over does make for a nicer sound and a little more pep. And that's what I wanted to check on before I spent more money. $250 to TCC is still $250. Did get a stage one kit, waiting for my power commander to come in berfore I install it.
man kind of high for just a couple pieces pipe and a heat shield aint it? I thought FullSac was a bit high for what ya get, but he's $80 less that Torres. $179 for fullsac, $240 for torres on ebay and $260 for torres on their websight.
How's the quality of the chrome on torres parts? does it come with a heatshield for the curve piece back to the left? that seems to be a place I have read in some posts where fullsac piece doesnt look so good after getting hot. nice and shiny chrome looking before running it then kind of turns a flatter silver after applying heat. I guess that might be worth the extra $80 if it stays nice and shiny there. hope you let us know and give us some pics after its been through a few heat cycles.
