i have one of those water soaker things with the gel that i put in my helmet, and a vest with two big inside pockets, and two big pockets on the chest, i keep four packs of blue ice in the freezer and put it in the vest pockets button up and good to go,
when the wind whips through the vest its about 70 degrees in there my face arms and legs are still in an oven,
i think they should make a helmet with a layer of blue ice in it that you keep in the freezer and through it on in the morning for a cool ride

All good ideas, but the last one.
If you ask me, we already have enough numb-skulls riding around..................
RE: 113 degrees today what do you do to stay cool?
Normal 'summer gear' of boots, jeans, sleeveless 't', and sunglasses. \\; Well, and sometimes a vest with expanders so it's open in the front and allows air flow without 'flapping in the wind'...
 \\;
Been riding in 100+ summer temperatures for years and years, and the heat has never bothered me, as long as you keep moving. \\;

Move.  \\;
Sorry, I know -20* is friggin' cold, but I can't do 113. And 100 with oppressive humidity will bury me. Ya, we get humid as all get out, some days here, and hot and humid, but 100+ for days on end like Az, etc, or humid like it was down south, \\;sorry guys (and galls), I'll throw on my long johns and leathers.
RE: 113 degrees today what do you do to stay cool?
My wife uses one of those wet neck scarfs. \\; It cools the blood going to the brain.
I believe in hydration. \\; Drink drink drink and then drink some more. \\; If'n I'm going riding the next day and the forecast is 100+, I'll hydrate the night before and take a six pac of water with me. \\; 113 degrees F ain't that bad but then I have lived in the desert most of my life. \\; RH around here is less than 25%. \\;
I hate humidity. \\; 90/90 and I'm inside with the AC turned up high and watching TV.
