When you bring your scoot to the dealer for service, etc do you normally tip the service technician that does the work? \\;If so, what do you base the amount on?
Nope, I don't tip them at all. Most of the time, I don't even know who did the work. They just page my name or call my cell, and bike is outside ready for me to climb on after paying.
Whenever they've done some freebies for me, I bring by a six-pack of my homebrew. Tipping with cash may or may not be accepted according to local management's policy, but beer is appreciated....and the next time I bring in my or my wife's bike, they get to it right away.
In the ol days u cud get the same teck all the time. Always took care of them. Different now. I go to an indy and always buy lunch.Good guy, great tech, can watch, and last but not least fair and honest affordable!!!
As far as oil changes and minor maintenance I do it myself. When I do have to take it to a shop for something I don't tip. Now if I could find a shop that had a reasonable labor rate, I would tip the tech IF he did a good job.
