Just got a detachable windshield for my 06 Heritage off ebay. It wasn't quite the right fit but I modified it a little to work. My question is...it is a little tall for my likes...has any one had any luck in cutting one down and how did you do it? Any help is much apreciated. thanks
Yup, I have cut down plexiglass windsheilds..
Put a covering of masking tape over the area your going to cut..
mark out the arc of the cut. varity of ways to do this..
cardboard template etc.. make the cut with a small grinder with a cut off wheel installed.
Take your time so you cut it and not melt it..
Finish the cut off edge with a palm sander \\;with fine sandpaper installed
to make a nice rolled edge..
