Props To The Cops
I pull into my local HD dealer this morning and there were three motorcycle cops pulling cars over left and right. I go in and grab a gasket. I mention to the guy behind the parts counter how the cops are working the road today. He says "those a***oles are always out there blah, blah, blah!
When I come out one of the cops was just finishing up writing a ticket in the dealer's parking lot. I was kinda half kidding around when I said to the cop that they were staying pretty busy this morning. He said they were there all the time. He said the speed limit was 35 through that stretch of road and people go 60 to 70 through there. He said they worked that area pretty hard cause of all the motorcycles that frequent the dealer. They are trying to get the cars to slow down in that area so the bikers don't get hurt by an idiot flying down the road and not paying attention.
Not an a***ole at all. He was just doing his job and trying to keep me alive. Pretty cool if you ask me.

So I'm parked illegally on the sidewalk in front of Sears, and I'm in the tool dept., when I look up and see a cop headed for me. He asks if that's my bike on the sidewalk and I say yes. He says "I thought I would find you in the store, so rather than writing a ticket, I thought I would just ask you to move it".
