Looks like i have lost my garage space. I am looking at the cycleshell enclosure as a storage option. What do you guys think about this product especially for winter storage. Is it worth the price? I currently ride an 88 Heritage and looking to purchase a Street Glide in the near future so i am looking at the Touring model at $400+. By the way i live in Massachusetts.
Thanks

Several years ago my only storage option for my first bike was an old garage on the firehouse property. The garage was all that remained of one of the houses that was knocked down to build the firehouse. The department used it for general storage, and I was given permission to clear a spot for my bike. Not wanting the bike to be damaged I picked up CycleShell's cruiser model. It worked great, as you really can just ride the bike onto the platform and fold the cover over the bike.
I would also reccommend that you visit the local boating store, and pickup a dessicant bucket (designed for winter boat storage). I placed one near the front end of the cover, and it helped keep the humidity down inside the cover and decreased the potential for bike parts rusting.
The garage I had the bike inside had a significant mouse problem. I kept them from nesting inside the cover by laying down a few mothball packets. I found some circular discs that were meant to be hung in the closet. One on each corner, under the cover, and nothing ever tried to gnaw on the cover.
In my opinion it's a great product. The only concern I'd have that far North would be snow accumulation. When I bought mine, I called the company and they sent me testimonials of one of thier cover's almost completely covered in snow. For the limited snowfall that Maryland gets, I was not worried.
