Any "passing time while hospitialized" ideas?

I know exactly what you are going through. I was hit by a cager on July 12th, and still laid-up. Won't be going back to work or ride for some time. I missed the LA Calender Girls show and Sturgis because of this. I digress, keep your spirits up and flirt with the cute nurses who usually only work the night shift. Have your friends bring in a biker magazines, Hot Bagger, American Bagger, or whatever and read away. To be honest, it does get a little boring after a while.
Before you realize it, you will be back on the road. Good luck, get well...maybe we will meet in Sturgis, going next year for sure!

I just had 3 major surgeries (colitis) last year, and the hospital conditions are deplorable up here in Quebec. I couldn't read as I was high on morphine & diloted for three months. Yep 3 months in hospital!!!
AM radio was the best past time, lots of news and talk shows + 50's & 60's rock & roll stations..., the tall sexy nurses were nice too.

Sorry to hear about your accident.
Exercise, try and stay as active as you can. It will help ease the recovery.
As far as other things to do.
Write letters to some old friends.
The Lonesome Dove miniseries' are good long westerns.
You also may want to hire a painter.
