Talking I'm no poser but I ride with one

Wife and I just got back from yellowstone--2,500 mile round trip. We trailered there and then parked the trailer. Trailering is the only way she would go (I've ridden the distance several times myself). Since I wanted her to go, I submitted. We get to the hotel and there are six gold wingers there. As we pulled in, I said to my wife, "this is embarrassing." Which it was. One of the guys said in good humor, "You're supposed to ride those things." I laughed--it was funny. I told the guy (also in a joking manner) Hey, I'm no poser, I just ride with one. He laughed and we talked for about half an hour.

I still gotta admit that every bike I saw that passed me, I felt like a poser. My wife and I laughed about it for a couple of thousand miles. But, still a great trip and I would do it tomorrow if it meant my wife would go again.

All right, maybe I'm a little bit of a poser, but the touring was great when I got there. Did I mention I trailered a bagger?

Thumbs up

Hey, that's what love is all about. Sometimes we have to compromise.

She's willing to ride with you but not on the long boring cross country part and you're willing to swallow your pride a bit and load the bagger on a trailer in order to have her with you on the really pretty parts of the ride. Personally, I think you're both lucky to have each other and who cares what anyone else thinks!

Ride Safe,
Steve R.

thats why I like fingerless gloves. The contrast is good and clear when I show them your middle finger.

Trailering is a Harley thing. You almost never see metrics trailered to rallys. I love harleys, but lets face it most posers own harleys not hondas. It is just the way it is.

I wish my wife would ride to the end of my driveway let alone all over Yellowstone. Hey - long trip with the person you love trailering your second love to your destination - then ride the scenic parts - poser or not life for you sounded pretty darn good to me. Glad you had a great trip.
