What do you consider too cold? It takes me about an hour to get to work.
Depends. In spring I find myself riding in when it's in the 20's, so long as it gets into the 40's for the ride home. In the fall I usually stop riding in when it drops into the low 30's. I don't wear chaps or heated clothing.
My coldest is 26 degrees. I participate in meals on wheels every Thanksgiving, the bikes escort cages to elderly people homes and we give them Thanksgiving dinner, I'd ride if it was 10 degrees, these elderly folks look forward to seeing the bikes each Thanksgiving.
