and the rear running lights look way too bright to me. They're so bright it looks like I'm riding the brakes. Anyone else that has installed the module notice this?
Just my opinion, and nobody is wrong here, of course. Mine are set-up as turn/brake only, for two (of my thought up) reasons. I like to have a "bunch of new" red light come on when I'm stopping so there's no question that I just hit my brakes. I also have a couple small auxillary brake lights. The second (my opinion) reason is that the module we are speaking about mearly sends additional voltage to the single filament bulb (that is already glowing) so it glows a little brighter. I didn't feel that the difference in brightness was enough to send the message "I'M STOPPING NOW". I know Harley quit selling the turn/brake only version but I have no idea why.
I just installed mine a couple of days ago and I DO like more lights on as opposed to just the "tombstone" (I wish they could have found a better name for it!) tailite.....
but my flashers don't work, is that normal with this mod?

Since HD doesn't make the old turn/stop only anymore, I got the Tailstoppers BT400 that is turn/stop only.
Anyway, you made me go check my flashers. They work like a champ. I have heard others on here say their flashers quit working also with this newer HD module.
I don't know that it looks like I'm riding my brake - I've only ever seen this bike with the mod. I do know I drove 200+ miles behind this bike, at night, as my friend was riding it home for me from Indianapolis. We rode on interstates and country back roads. From a bit of a distance, the three lights looked almost like one big light - it was *real* easy to see the bike in the dark. I had no doubt when he applied the brakes as the change in intensity was more than obvious and very bright.
I have since added the LED sissy bar light, wired into the same rig - it's always on, and gets brighter when you apply the brakes.
I am considering adding some LED strips to the edges of my saddle bags. I'm all about making myself visible!
I like the extra brightness...50% more light in the back...when I'm out in the big truck..I can sure tell the guy's who have the mod..I can see them much further up the road, the stock setup fades quickly..at a distance
Just put it on mine last week!

Recently installed it on my wife's 08 Deluxe. Flashers work fine. Sounds like maybe your unit could be defective.
