I feel your pain brother, Keep givin them hell. Send it in and stil give more hell. Tell them you are on a new campaine to let the world know how crappy thier product line is. Really rub it in their face.
AMEN to that. It'll take 10+ days but AT LEAST make them fix it.
And I [:@][:@][:@]FRIGGIN' HATE [:@][:@][:@]Stealerships that would treat AN HONEST customer like that.
It makes me VERY thankful for places like I stopped in on my first long ride home: Curly's HD in North Carolina,Boswell's HD in Tenn, Bumpus HD in Memphis, and of course my (60 mile one way) dealership of Forman's HD in Stillwater, Oklahoma. There is a stealership about 10 minutes from my house in OKC, but I don't like the smell of that place.
What's the email to the motoclothes department at Ozark Harley and we can EACH tell them we won't be stopping in----ever!
I get sent to OKC about once a year for training and just stopped into the HD dealer there March 18th, I can relate with the smell. I also stopped at the one in Moore, was not so impressed there either. I'm getting from you, FLSTNI_Man_of_Steel, that it may be worth a trip to Stillwater next time I'm down there. It's sad to say, but a guy has to shop around for a good dealer no matter what he's buying whether it be a Chevy, Ford, Dodge, or HD
I bought a new jacket. $365. plus tax The second time I wore it the zipper broke. OK, **** happens, No big deal, I'll return it. Today I drive 80 miles one way to Ozark Harley in Lebanon, Missouri. Walk in tell them the deal and that I just want to exchange it. They would'nt do it. They tell me they have to ship it off and it will be 10 days. Let me talk to the manager... Still no deal... It's freakin cold here and I need a jacket. I'm a buis. owner and if it was my customer I would have given them a new jacket in a heart beat even if I had to eat it.. simply because I know I'll get it back in future sales.. I left with the jacket and will try to find someone who can fix the zipper.. Where do I go? I get home and I'm still pissed so I call Harley and they basicly tell me to freakin bad.. Send it in and we'll fix it in 10 days other wise go get it fixed your damn self.. I wore it two freakin times... If we go to Wal Mart or the local mall and buy something and have a problem we take it back, they give us a new one and we continue to do buis. in the future. F*CK Ozark Harley I'll never walk in that place again, and F*CK Harley motor cloths.
It's cold out and I need a jacket.
Sorry about the rant.
Hey Bull...this is your quote, made me laugh. "Don't let you Alligator mouth get your Huming bird's *SS in trouble."[sm=exactly.gif][sm=lol.gif]Anyway, I know how ya feel, take it to a shoe repair and they'll put a new one on in short order. It does suck though.
Wow - That is unreal - I would be just as pissed - I can't understand why they wouldn't eat it - I mean I would have taken a new one, got the tags off and given it to you and then turned it around and send it back and tell them it was defective - No pain no strain - You got screwed man! I guess I should tell you to calm down etc...and there is not much you can do about it but you have every right to be pissed!
Here's one for ya too! I bought a pair of chaps from a place online. The one leg was bigger than the other leg!!!!!!!!!!!! Of course, they told me to send them back and they would replace them.........of course, I had to pay the shipping to ship it back which cost me $ 15.00 to ship them UPS! Go figure! So much for saving on chaps by buying them online! [sm=badidea.gif][sm=boosign.gif]
Same thing happened to my bud a couple years ago. His wife bought him a shirt at HD that was too small. They lost the receipt, but the shirt still had the tag on it, and didn't look like it had been worn, they would neither return or switch for another. HD in Greensburg, PA.

I think the very best way to handle these things is to post their names on this forum. There are so many members here that you can cost them a lot of future sales.
I had the exact same experience with East Coast Harley in Dumfries, VA. Wore the coat twice, zipper broke. Returned to the stealer, wanted an exchange, no deal. Same stroy leave and we will send to Harley, two weeks minimum. Walked out and have never been back. Went to an embrodery shop in Quantico and they were able to fix in short order, no charge. I will never give another penny to east Coast Harley.
