You payed way too much money for that jacket to 1) have a zipper break on it that quickly and 2) get treated like that by the dealership. If they treat us like this, then we'll just go to the aftermarket that has a better product with more reasonable prices. Not buying anything from that place again is a good way to handle that.
Yep, i dont own any clothes that say harley on them, cuz thats all they are, labels. I went to the Vegas HD and couldnt believe how cheesie the jackets were compared to my badass police type jacket thats made in the USA outta Heavy Cow Hide Baby. I paid $250 bucks for a jacket that I would put up against ANY Harley jacket made in the past year. The zippers on my jacket are like something off a deep sea diving suit. Anyhow I always recommend sandiagoleather's made in the USA jackets, they are top notch. [sm=biker2.gif]
Man, that sucks! I would have demanded a refund. I had a motorclothes "person" assist me when I purchased a HD full face helmet. I told her that the price was way high for this AGV brand helmet with HD logos on it. She actually laughed at me and said "Your so silly, of course it costs more, it says Harley-Davidson on it" I was really pi$$ed off now, so I spoke to the HD shop owners wife who actually runs the MOCO clothing dept and she knocked off $55.00 from the price. So not to bad, or maybe I got lucky?
This must be standard Harley dealer BS - I just got new electric gloves and first time out the right thumb was cold. Called dealer about exchange and she says bring them in, but they have to be mailed back for repair. Tell her brand new, only worn once. Dealer's answer is basically "TS, thats our policy" and looking at about three week turnaround including two trips to dealer. Instead I call Gerbing's (who makes the gloves for Harley - were very apologetic, "mail them in we'll fix asap." Mailed to them last week and replacment gloves back at my house last night - approx one week total. . Local Harley dealer could take a lesson from Gerbing's on what good customer service is like.

I bought a new jacket. $365. plus tax The second time I wore it the zipper broke. OK, **** happens, No big deal, I'll return it. Today I drive 80 miles one way to Ozark Harley in Lebanon, Missouri. Walk in tell them the deal and that I just want to exchange it. They would'nt do it. They tell me they have to ship it off and it will be 10 days. Let me talk to the manager... Still no deal... It's freakin cold here and I need a jacket. I'm a buis. owner and if it was my customer I would have given them a new jacket in a heart beat even if I had to eat it.. simply because I know I'll get it back in future sales.. I left with the jacket and will try to find someone who can fix the zipper.. Where do I go? I get home and I'm still pissed so I call Harley and they basicly tell me to freakin bad.. Send it in and we'll fix it in 10 days other wise go get it fixed your damn self.. I wore it two freakin times... If we go to Wal Mart or the local mall and buy something and have a problem we take it back, they give us a new one and we continue to do buis. in the future. F*CK Ozark Harley I'll never walk in that place again, and F*CK Harley motor cloths.
It's cold out and I need a jacket.
Sorry about the rant.
That's the trouble today with nearly all businesses. Customer service went the way the dinosaurs.
I'm with Bull he bought it from Harley , the dealer should have stepped up to the plate and satisfied his customer. If customers were important to him. Seems Harley dealers all have a surplus of dealers these days, I love the bikes , but havent found a dealer yet that I thought was up to snuff on service.[:@][sm=biker.gif]
Well my local dealership will do exchanges. I had a pair of HD goggles that broke, didn't even buy them at my local dealer - but where I got the bike at another dealer 50 miles away. My local dealer, got the other dealer to send them a pair from their inventory, and exchanged them for me - even covered the shipping.
I freaking love my dealer.

I won't buy motor clothes from any stealership 'cause they are way overpriced.[sm=badidea.gif] Bought my leather jacket offa eBay about 6 years ago for $45 and had no trouble with it. And it' not a lightweight jacket either. I will compare it to any quality jacket by anyone. You just have to shop around. Unless you gotta have H-D on your stuff.
Boy that stinks. Dealer that I deal with most of the times has it in the computer if people lose the receipt so they have exchanged things for me without a receipt. Some dealers just aren't people oriented.
