Default helmet Q

1) DOT worth the difference?
2) Beanie or is the German Helmet too cliche'?

That all depends on how much your head is worth.

I wear DOT. Worth it to me. I really don't care about looks. I wear em to be safe. So I get a comfortable helmet that offers protection.

Wear DOT and I replace it every two years. Made the wife a promise after we got married to always wear a helmet.

Difference between DOT and Novelty? Definitely! Other than that, its all about what you like to wear or what level of protection you are willing to accept. I do like the German style and currently wear a DOT type. Personal preference.

Where did you get your DOT german? I bought a DOT polo helmet from Jafrum. It's a nice looking helmet but because its DOT it still give the mushroom head effect.

I'd like to find a lower profile DOT German helmet, also.
