I have a condition in my legs that causes them to be swollen, and it is difficult for me to find boots that I can comfortably wear that will last. I've just gone through my 2nd pair of HD 7 inch lace ups. Anyone have any ideas on who might make quality boots in wide sizes? Lace ups are better, and zippers on the side are ok as long as the boots are wide enough. I can't wear pull ups or tall engineer boots. I've tried Red Wing and Chippewa but no luck. Any tips appreciated. Thanks
Have you thought of Red Wing, I know they sell HD boots. I buy my work boots from them. Never checked there motorcycle boots, because I all ready have a pair.
Hope this help, they do specialize in wide width, I have a very wide foot such as a 4E width.
I almost forgot, not sure if it will help. I purchased my last pair of HD Boots from a store called Hush Puppies. You know Hush Puppy shoes, I found this shoe store in a factory outlet mall. They do carry wide width. May not help, most of the time I have to try on a pair that is actually one size to long.
Not sure where your locations but have you tries BOULET.ca
This is a Canadian Company and they make quite a few different leather boots.
Check out their catalogue. I wear their Western boots for the last 3 years and they are comfortable.
Wallymart for Herman Survivors - cheap and some of the best boots I've had. They have several different styles and I use them for work and riding. Some are "waterproof" to a good degree.
If you want the best boots money can buy, check out West Coast Shoes. www.westcoastshoe.com They will send you a kit to measure your feet and legs and make boots to fit your feet. They will keep your info on file and when you need new boots, they can build them to the same specs. Another thing they do is, when your boots wear out they can rebuild them just like new, about 1/2 the price. Be prepared they ain't cheap.
Hope this helps.
