Well Brian,
after leaving my last post I started thinking about your idea? and I went for it. Picked up some Rust Converter on the way home from work and used a foam brush to get it up there and all over.
It would have been tough to try and sand blast that area.
Rust primer next then the rust paint. Think I'll have it licked then.
Next the cross member, Ha I already took care of that one. It was just covered in rock chips, no rust yet.
