I've gotten a few, actually.

Met up with some people for rides after.

I would suggest making a separate EM for just that.

Dunno if ya wanna give a phone # or anything else.

I've collected cards from a few people I met at rallies. I thought it was a good idea. One card really stuck out. Contact info. was printed on one side and the other had a nice photo and name of the guy's bike, "Rita May Lighthouse."

It's nice that there's some folks around that you can share that with. But like you said, you'd be careful who gets one... the wierdos come outta the woodwork when they get any kind of personal info that seems like a come-on for them.

Hi
For my birthday, the hubby gave me some cards with my name and email address on it.
Works really good when we meet someone and really want to maintain contact with that person. I am also the secretary of our local HOG Chapter, so when I see someone with a Harley shirt on ask them if they are interested in joining the Chapter.

Ideas for cards;

Use a special email address
Never use a home or business address
Use a cell phone number or no number at all
Don't use a last name
Use nicknames in place of full names
Be watchful as to who you hand them out to

I think it's a good idea. I have received a few. The boating community does the same thing.
