I wish I could, but sadly, none of the Harley dealerships I've spoken to can match the deal that I'll get while I'm in Iraq (through AAFES), so I think I'm waiting until I'm over there to pull the trigger. (pun intended )
I have rented several times while on vacations. $150 is about right. I just include it into the cost of the vacation and I get to try different bikes. It's a win-win.
That's a normal rate. Sometimes the stealer around here that does rentals will runs specials. Maybe you can take advantage of one of those and save some cash.

Have you thought about Demo rides? They have them twice a year at our local HD dealers. I don't know if you want to wait for yours to come along and if they'll have a Heritage to try but it's free.
I bought my Heritage without even trying it out and I love it! Good luck.
