$135 to $150 is the going Harley rental rate (or pretty much any brand bike). You have the bike for 24 hours for that price. Add insurance and all; it still comes out to about $7.80 an hour. Harleys high MSRP; thats a different story
So yeah, thats not bad a bad thing to do before making a possible $20K mistake. About $7.80 an hour .....
that rental rate seems to be about the same where ever you look.
I've never had a problem with a dealer letting me "test" ride a bike - I've done it in Houston, San Deigo and San Antonio. granted, I didn't ride any of them for more than 1 1/2 hrs, but that was long enough to know if I fit it or not.
I have rented Ultra's the last 2 years in a row from Tampa Harley for $300 for a 3 day weekend. Put around 1,000 miles on them each time. (Unlimited mileage.) The first year I rode down to the Key's. Money well spent.
I know Orlando Harley has specials now and then. Back in July or August it was $99 rentals for touring bikes and I think $79 for the Vrods, Dynas, Sportsters. Perhaps other rental places in your area have specials as well - doesn't hurt to call around and ask a few places.
