Why would you want to use this dealership for service after they gave you bad info? Is this a sneak peek into how they do business? I think I would find another dealership, let the GM know, and spread the word of mouth on them.
Powaypete,
When I said that I was planning to have them service the bike. It was before I thought maybe that they were trying to take advantage of a situation. My problem is that the three big dealerships in the area are all owned by the same company. I will do most of my own servicing. However I will still need to find a dealer I can trust in case I need them for a bigger job.
Everyone,
Thanks for your comments. I have no intensions of letting this rest. However they do have the last say on the matter. But that doesn't mean that I won't have my say in the matter. If anyone has the number at Harley Davidson so I can by pass the dealership it would certainly be helpful. Thanks again for everyones input.
Hmmm...lets see, make everyone else responsible for your lack of initiative to take care of business. HD dealers are not your baby sitters and they don't owe you squat. If you would have procured the paperwork and read it, you wouldn't be in this situation. As they say, the best lesson is a bought lesson.

Bowtieman,
Take a deep breath and have another cup of coffee on me. At no point in this email did I say the dealer was suppose to be my baby sitter. Nor did I say that I was pi$$ off about the situation. It is what it is and if I can do something to correct the situation, great. If not, then so be it. The right questions concerning the extended warranty were asked of the dealer. Which is a representitive of Harley Davidson. It is not a stretch to expect them to give out accurate information when asked a question.
As for my lack of initiative. try not to judge people by what you read on the internet. In most cases it is never what you think.
Everyone, take care and have a nice weekend. It's suppose to be nice around here today (65). Hop on the bike and take a ride.
