ive heard ALOT of bad things about northshore h-d.i heard the owner banned alot of people from there because they were toting rebel flags on their bikes,clothes,etc..i deal with h-d of new orleans in metairie theve been pretty decent they messed up one time on my recent paintwork they had my bike for 2 weeks and didnt even touch because they lost my repair order but once we handled it up they got on it right away and they cut 1 hour of the labor for removing my fender and didnt chrage me for paint.they screwed up but they got on the ball quickly so i will still be dealing with h-d of new orleans just wanted to share.
About the same thing happened to us. Big bore kit, had it back in the dealer time after time. Still blowing oil.
We finally took it to another dealer but with lots of word of mouth on how lousy they did us $3000 to be exact and they kicked us out of the Chapter and threatened to close the Chapter if anyone invites us to an event.
Mid America HD in Columbia Missouri to be exact. They definitely give HD a bad name. Their most experienced mechanic is 4 years or less. Not so impressive. The owner buys tissues by the case cuz he's such a big....how you say kitty kat with a "C".
I do like the picketing idea it would be really funny to watch him go get his wife to take care of his muscle work.
only bad time was a few weeks ago when they screwed up my new exhaust. funny after I had my say I was asked never to come back. Wrote the MoCo on the deal and have heard nothing from them yet.
Never realized how thin skinned HD dealer owners are. I always envisioned rough and tough can take anything rather than big cry babies.
They are definitely giving Harley Davidson a bad name. I suggest they go sell Honda Goldwingers that's more down their alley.
