Not on a SEARS, I have J&S jacks. I build scoots on 'em, and store 'em. I also built a couple of roller carts to store on. Lift with the jack, put the cart under it, lower jack, good to go.
You gots it, as you posted, just make sure it is on the stops. I would suggest tie downs, not sure how 'stable' it is on those, but that is your call.
Actually it is a 'good' thing. Takes the pressure off the wheel bearings. Not that storing it for a while in the winter, is gonna flatten a roller in 'em, but long term, can cause damage. Plus, if you need space or have to move it, just grab and roll.
I put my FLSTF on the Sears Yellow jack last year with no problem. Planning on doing same this year unless someone has reason not to. I do strap it to the jack for long storage and make sure it is settled down on the stops and the bottle pressure is released.
my neighbor and i have been messin' on and off with a wrecked bike and since it's been in the garage it's been on that same jack...i'm sure it'll be fine just as long as it's stable
No way I'd store my bike on the yellow Sears jack. I left it up on my J&S jack for a week once when I was working on it and I would never do that with the Sears jack.
Ditto last post. I have the ol' Dunwell (very similar to J&S) and as long as you have safety positions to take the pressure off the bottle and strap it down (not necessary on Dunwell, it's so stable) should be OK. I like getting mine off the floor for storage.
