A buddy and I had an idea to create small custom parking blocks for motorcycles. They would be roughly 36" in length, be made of quality concrete, resemble the normal full size parkiing blocks and be customizable. We thought that we could do custom engraving in the block like "Bob's Harley", "Harley Davidson", "Motorcycle Parking", etc.
We could coat it with a durable coating such as epoxy and do the lettering in a different color so it stands out.
We also had the idea of marketing this to not only motorcycle enthusists, but to also buisnesses such as bars and motorcycle shops that might be interested in having their names ingraved.
A homeowner might install one in his garage or in the driveway. They could be anchored for stability and we could consider making a model with a front tire clamp to stand the bike straight up.
What do you think? Would you consider purchasing something like this? Thanks for your input!
I have thought of this. Primarily, I would market the products locally and at rallies such as Sturgis and Bike Week. If a buisness was interested I could do a wholesale lot and ship bulk. They would be limited to generic engravings such as "Harley Parking" or "Chopper Parking".
If they're mostly decorative, what about foam covered with cement. Looks and feels like the real thing, without the weight. Lot of architectural products are made like that. Just throwin' out idea's.

I can picture all those bikers heading home from Sturgis and Bike week with cement blocks in their saddle bags.
Hey I apprieciate it IAMSWUTIAMS. My buddy has a concrete casting buisness where they make concrete picnic tables, yard ornamates, and lots of regular parking blocks. He made a small parking block form from some scap one day and showed me. I came up with the idea of marketing them. Just here in Kansa City area we have several biker themed bars, 4 Harley Dealerships, and several dozen Independent dealers. I can count 5 biker themed bars alone and one is in our new "Entertainment District" complete with Bike parking. But when I go down there, there isn't anything but a few orange traffic cones. How cool would it be to have your company's Logo embossed in a colorfully painted parking block.
I would have preferred an option to give a simple "no" answer, without a nasty comment following it. I go to a lot of bike dealers that have specific bike parking spaces, and I could readily see them buying custom parking blocks with their store name on them.
