Be glad you get any discount. You could pay full price, there is no requirement to give discounts. And those that do have been known to mark up before they discount just so you think you got a deal.

I too am pretty much chromed out and leathered out. I haven't bought enough at the local dealerships lately to know how, or if they even do a point system or not. However, It does seem to me that sales there have really slowed down quite a bit the last month or so.

I'm sure that they will be trying something to boost business!

The dealership near my town has a 10% card that they give if you purchase a bike through them, and every purchase or work done to bike they give you 10% of the purchase that you can use in the future, they don't just give the discount up front they want you to come back!

When I bought the 07 Ultra, I also bought the Platinum VIP Plan 3 year service agreement. Along with it came a 10% discount on every thing I buy. The points system doesn't impress me much, because I'm not one to accessorize very much. My bike is stock, and I buy riding gear where ever the value is. But when I do buy something from the dealer, the 10% discount is welcomed.
