Default Tried out my Gerbing gear today

WOW

That stuff is sweet. I bought the jacket liner and the gloves. It was in the 40's and it felt like I was riding in 70 degree temperatures. Now the wife wants some also and I am hoping to find a source that was cheaper than the dealer. I paid $199.00 for the jacket liner and $169.00 for the gloves. I cannot remember the price on the controller.

The dealer really ticked me off because they had a 36th anniversary and announced a big discount. I got there and you have to pull a token out of a bag and you can receive anywhere between a 5% and a 50% discount. I pulled a 15% out and they would NOT honor it. Another person came up and said all the Gerbing heated gear did not qualify for the discount. Well it gets better because I had a total of $425.00 worth of stuff on the counter and thought I was also qualified for the Harley wall hanging if you spend $350.00 or more and they said NO because the Gerbing stuff is not HARLEY gear.

I want to spend my money elsewhere and hopefully save a few bucks at the same time.

Thanks

Go to gerbings website and look for a local dealer.
I have one in my area, Mt Airy Maryland and he is cheaper than the HD dealer.

That would have been a good time to leave everything laying on the counter, walk out, and head to another dealer.

Yeah I agree!

PS: I just ordered the Tourmaster heated jacket liner with controller for $161.99 shipped. Can't wait to try it. This will be my first electric heated gear item so anxious to see what all the fuss is, hehe

This is normal where I am. I have a Dealer card that I collect points on for everything I buy that is Harley, but non-Harley stuff doesn't qualify.
It's just the way it works, and you need to know how it works.
Don't ask me how I know.

I bought my Gerbings clothing at Tilley's HD of NC when they had the same type of promotion. The chip/token I pulled was worth 30% off and they honored it for the Gerbing clothing. Great clothing and a great deal on! Pretty hard to find anyone who discounts Gerbings.

Go to http://www.grandprixmotorsports.com/specials.asp and follow the instructions to save some major cash on Gerbing stuff. I think the jacket liner works out to only be around $153 with the coupon (enter GERB002). They're pretty fast shippers too as I got my stuff in about a week.

Well that really gets my goat now because that is the same dealer. Tilley Harley Davidson Statesville, North Carolina. I have spent over $25K with them since June and I pulled the discount chip and then they would NOT honor it.
