Just so you know, that is nothing new. The Japenese cars have been running their camshafts on "parent" metal for years. Haven't seen a cam bearing on an overhead cam engine for quite some time. As long as there is a constant supply of oil to the surfaces there will be little or no wear on either the cam or the plate. That is one of the reasons they don't want you to mess with the idle speed on the new bikes, they need the oil pressure. I haven't seen or heard of any recalls on your bike.

Call MOCO HQ & HQ they will answer your questions on that. Before I committed to my recent used bike purchases I called them and they told me what the scoop was on them. They needed the VIN's.
