You have the primary and the transmission also. 20-50 synthetic in the motor, 75-90 synthetic in the trans, and 20-50 deno in the primary is the most common combination in my neck of the woods. And use name brands. A 75-140 in the trans will quiet it up a little if that is a concern. It is getting cold here so I would stick with the 75-90 till summer.

A manual would be quite helpful for this info. Engine oil, tranny oil, and primary oil.

You can use Synthetic 20w50 in the Motor, Tranny, and Primary, that's what the factory recommends, and what the dealership would do if they did your oil change.

I, personally, use 75-140 transmission fluid in my tranny, and 20w50 in the motor and priamry, but there is nothing wrong with using 20w50 in 3 all holes.

I've tried both the Harley brand for my 1000 mile, then amsoil for the 5000 mile, 70w-140 in the tranny. that worked well in finding the "N" and quit down 5th gear some. for my 10K I was introduced to Red Line. they have oil for the primary and oil for the trans and seperate for the engine. I like the trans oil better than Amsoil and I've used Amsoil for all my BMW's and Porsche so going with anything other it must be good. the trans oild quit down 5th gear better than Amsoil and finding "N" is faster also. Oh yeah you know that noise you hear when you shift in between gears. The Red Line quit that down also.

Well, since you asked for the 20,000 mile interval, not just what oils everyone and their granny should use, here's a GIMP slap-together pic of the service intervals and what to check etc. Just line things up, you should be able to see what needs to be done and at what mileage.

Default Don't forget

Remember to change your fork oil as well, try using the Screamin Eagle fork oil, works better in my Fatboy.
