Don't listen to those post about moving to the south. Living in Florida I can only get in a few days riding a year. We have a Hurricane weekley and it rains at least ten inches a day and when it's not raining the gnats and love bugs will clog up your air filter in a mile or so. You can't get over ten miles an hour because of all the snakes and alligators on the road. The mosquitoes can punch holes in your gas tank if you ride at night. Tornados are a dailey happening and what with the sink holes and tidal waves I'm sure you will all be happier staying up north. (Oh, did I mention the skunk apes?)

I rode to work this morning, 38 degrees. Hands got cold, that's it.
Other things to avoid in Florida.....Q-Tips driving enormous cars (they can't see over the steering wheel). And then there's the heat (well the humidity)....its hot and sticky enough to melt the paint off your scoot.
Dayum, it's only 70 outside today. I may wear a jacket on my ride home.
I can relate. I live in Orange Co, CA and rode out to my sister's place Hesperia, in the high desert, for the T-day weekend. Had a great time out there riding with my BIL; rode to Joshua Tree on Friday, to Newcomb's on Saturday, and up into the pines on Sunday, but I left my bike out there 'cause I had a plan to drive out on weekends, ride, drive home. Plans being what they are, tho, it looks like it'll be January before I can get out there again. I'm looking into taking a bus out there to retrieve my bike.
I went as long as I could Wearing face masks long jhons ,a nd layers on layers. Just didn't want to get off the bike. But the last few days here in iowa have been snow and more snow with no better days in sight. Been ridding crotch rockets for a long time now even bought another 08 ZX-10 this year. Never realy missed them as much in the winter as I miss the new Harley.Yes It's my first Harley at the great age of 42. I wish I had gotten one along time ago.
