Me and a friend had this discussion. We all know Harleys pull strong down low so which would pull strongest in a roll from 2500rpm, a stock Harley TC88, say a Deuce, or a stock GSX-R 1000? We assume that both bikes have the same gearing so let's say they get on it at 25 mph and 2500 rpm. Which pull the hardest?
Are we talking about the Hiabusa here? That thing will eat just about ANYONE's lunch... If you do not weigh at least 250 lbs that thing is HARD to keep on the ground.
GSX-R NO CONTEST. dont even attempt to race... most new sport bikes have 150+ hp and weight about 450 lbs.... do the math
No, no. I didn't mean it like that. I'm sorry if I was a little unclear. The question was more of who would pull away initially from 2500rpm. We can also consider the case of a GSX-R limited to 5000rpm. Who would win then?

honestly... I think think gixer 600 would take down a Harley with no problem. They are great bikes. About the only thing I think that could beat out the gixer 600 is the CBR 600RR.
But the 1000 would probably smoke a lot of stuff out there assuming the rider had the b@lls to move it...

Yes, of course it would. However, this is not about maximum performance, it's about a 2500rpm roll with the same gearing. What do you think?
I ride with a buddy that has a GSXR 1100. He kicks my *** in "any" kind match of acceleration. You are DREAMING or on crack if you think that you can take him at any RPM.

Downhill and with the Gixer in 6th gear I think you MAY have a chance.
I rode a lot of crotch rockets before getting my harley... They pull VERY hard in all the gears through the entire RPM range in my experience... And the Harley just doesn't.
Now... are we talking stock harley? 103 SE kit? Nitrous? =)
All academic... You have to ride slow so everyone can see that CHROME!!!! =)
