I was riding at night at 40mph when I saw a fire hose laying right across my path connected to a fire hydrant on the other side of the road as a fire tender was attending a fire.
The fire brigade had placed a large sheet of wood resting against the hose which acted as a take-off ramp when I hit it and me and my sportster flew through the air on impact and safely landed 15 feet further down the road, lucky I was riding solo as it was very difficult controlling my landing !!!
Deer. 2 weeks ago. 6K damage to the bike and I got a helicopter ride out of the deal. Managed to keep it upright, although I have no idea how. Rather be lucky than good.....
