No problems here in the Great Northwest that I've seen. The motor cops tend to give a mild wave or a head nod when we pass each other. Just don't get stupid or you'll get to know them in a hurry.
Nope, LEO's here ride a lot. They pretty much leave the cruisers alone and they only seem to hassle the dumbasses acting stupid on the sport bikes. Things are different then in the 70's. LEO's are like everyone else--most are good guys and some are peckerheads but they don't seem to hassle the bikes. Glad this hasn't turned into a bashing thread.
KK i will go with two trypes of stories here. I own my 09 Fat Bob and a 07 GSXR 600. I havnt put any miles on the Sports bike sence gettin the harley but back when I would ride the sports bikes with a group it didnt matter how fast we where going and the po po would try to pull us over and hurrass us. Now with that said I ride with a completly diff crowd now and we can be doing 85-95 on the same street and will just get a glance and a head knod lol.. so i dont think the harley ppl get messed with at all..
When I first started to ride, I had an oldtimer tell me there are 3 things to know about riding around our area. 1-Cops love harleys 2-Hell's Angels won't mess with you unless you do something stupid 3-Never look a Pagan in the eye.
Excellent advice.
Police in my area will give you a once over if you're flying colors. They will pull you over if you're running straight pipes and making a f^cking nuisance of yourself.
