I live in what we call a "tri state" area here, and I'm in Ohio, plus WVa and Ky on almost a daily basis...I've never been singled out or bothered in any way, and can't recall any one else bringing it up either, and there's a LOT of bikers around here...my experience is that courtesy and respect gets you the same in return...

Yup, here in Ontario they prey on you 24/7. 2 reasons.

1. Lot's of Hells Angels here

2. Insurance rates are astronomical so pulling bikers over randomly is the way to go, because there is a big change that that person might just not be covered. Not covered = end of your riding career unless you are rich.

Local LEO's in my small town wave to everyone, most all are friendly. There's one cop in a neighboring town that's anti-biker, and he pulls over every bike he can. Another local force makes it policy to stop anyone in colors. State troopers in the area just smile and wave.

No problems, lots of LEO's around here ride, Chattanooga has police bikes and they even work the bike nights stopping traffic so folks can get in and out. Now show your **** doing stupid stuff and it might be a different story!!!

I DO know one guy who got hassled alot.... of course, he got popped for DWI, in a small town, where everyone knows everybody... and he kept motoring without a license....right past the cop who busted him in the first place..... all I'd ever hear him say was " damn cop's always out to hassle me"..... couldn't be, because he was such a dumbazz...could it?

No problems around here with cops. Lots of LEO's ride. Enforcers MC in the area too. Don't be a fool and all will be cool...

Now that I think of it, I've NEVER seen a Harley do a wheelie on I-295 while doing 70mph and traffic around him. Anyone else???

While on patrol I never hassled any bikers that didn't deserve it. I have had sport bike riders give me the one finger salute as they rode by to try and get me to chase them. I did tow a bike once when the rider didn't have a motorcycle endorsement, he could have gone to jail I gave him a court date. We ended up in the same riders edge course, that was a funny story for him to tell why he was there and then for me to say I was the cop that wrote the ticket.

We have had a lot of problems here in Florida with sport bikes and accidents/deaths. On October 1st new laws where passed, pull a wheelie, go 50 over the speed limit, not have tag displayed properly gets you. 1st offense, $1,000 fine, 2nd $2,500 fine, 3rd is $5,000 fine and a 3rd degree felony.

Florida also has a license plate that is red and white with UNDER 21 on it, so the cops know who is under 21 for the helmet law.

Ride safe, ride smart you will have no problems.
