I wear a full face helmet that is GREAT at not fogging up. Except when I ride when the temps are in the 30's. Then it does fog up, and when you flip it up for a second to clear it, the condensation on the inside of the faceshield freezes. So while I normally don't bother to wear eye protection inside my full face, I do when the temps are that low because I find myself having to ride with the visor up more.

I got an anti-fog self tinting visor insert for my fullface, works like a champ for like $30 . Riding around with the visor cracked SUCKS on a cold morning. I'll look and see who made that thing.
I have always ridden my bikes until they just will not start because of too cold temps. The other reason is black ice!!!Had the scare of my life one time on black ice never again!!!
I rode a couple of weeks ago(gosh I hate winter) in 35 deg. weather. I ride a Wide Glide with no wind shield, a half helmet with a baclava. It was a 60 mile ride one way, and when I got home the sun was setting. Burrrrr ! If you have an ultra, you can handle it. Let us know what your experience was like .
I am at work now. Everything went well, made it just fine. I did get a little cold ,but not too cold. When I have more time I will feel you in on my trip to work. Remember, my trip to work was only about 1 hour long. Had it been a long trip, I would have too make some adjustment in order to stay warm.
Hate to say but I chickened out today. 28 degrees and rush hour traffic in Washington, DC doesn't make a good combination.
btw, did you mention what state your riding in? I would feel like a whimp if you said the DC area...

Yeah man, I live in DC. NO!! Just Kidding. I live outside of Memphis Tn., but I work in Memphis @ the airport. Not as bad as DC., I did leave the house @ 3:30 am this morning.(no traffic) Someone told me it was 28 degrees. I thought it was only 35 degrees. It's the trip home @ rush hour that is crazy.
