So first off I am no poet, in fact I think this is my first attempt. I was in the process of writing my Road Caption Biography for our local HOG chapter and wanted to include a famous quote or poem, just something to be different. Well I searched for a while and could not find anything that stood out, so I thought, why not write one myself...so what do you think?
KING ON THE ROAD
I wake in the morning with one thing in mind
I hope good weather is what I might find.
For theres no better feeling than to be in the saddle
of a machine so fierce you dither to straddle.
But straddle you do and off you go
with a roar and a rumble thats for more than just show.
With the wind in your face and the rubber side down
youre wearing your helmet as if its a crown.
If a king you were, your kingdom would be
full of these things they call a Harley.
Harleys are black, red, yellow and blue,
some just ride single and some will ride two.
All decked out in chrome and options galore,
built for crusin and stylin you can't ask for much more.
As the big twin V rumbles and the chasie vibrates
I can't hardly hold in that bowl of chili I just ate.
Your's is better, actually pretty good. Just havin fun.
Haven't wrote a poem since 8th grade.
Man It is amazing how many pages back things can get in a few hours, Just wondering if I could get anymore feed back. You can be honest...what do you think.

So, after reading this for like the hundredth time I realized that I need to revise it. I just wrote this last night and It took a couple glasses of 12 year single malt for me to see that I needed to change it, so here is the revised copy;

So should it be You...or...I... I know it needs to be consistent in the poem and I thought You sounded better.
