Anyone else have any problem adjusting from using mid controls to forward controls?
It seems my boot sometimes gets hung up between the toe and heel shifter and I almost dropped the bike at a stop a couple of times.
I am thinking of removing the heel shift lever...

Be nice now...
I prefer just the toe shifter myself. The only time I use the heel shifter is if I am wearing my winter heavy boots and I really shouldn't be riding in that weather anyhow!
Couldnt get rid of that heel shifter fast enough, only using the toe shift. No issues at all. It was off even before i left the stealer, nothing butt a pain in the a$$. Just my 2 cents.
You could always try floorboard extensions. Or use a short socket or something along with a shorter bolt and cut the length of the rear peg in half. Then you still have it for ease of use but it won't get in the way.
The only reason they even have the heel shifter is to keep you from ruining the toe on your Gucci's and to sell some extra chit - like I mean your not going to replace the toe shifter pedal without matching it with the heel now are you By the way, if you decide to trash the heel shifter, why the steeler even has a nice cap you can purchase to put on the end of the spline
I dunno...I kinda like the heel shifter...when you're really itchin to stomp it down a gear and take off like a bat outta hell, it's pretty awesome to have. Kinda fun, really. I use the hell outta the one on my buddies Fatboy when the idiot gives in and lets me ride it...and I only wear Chuck Taylors and Docs.

If he reads this it'll be your last ride on his Fat Boy for sure Those buff colored docs look pretty nasty too if you only use the toe shifter
