Made in China?
And +1 on the people, they're great. It's the government that's a whole other thing.
Totally Agree............next country to watch is India, just wait and see
Also agree... It's not the people, it's their government. Just like it is here. The so called "change" that's been rammed down your throat, isn't going to happen either.

And for those products coming out of China a big part of the issue is trying to make those parts in the US. Between the EPA nd OSHA there are some processes that cannot be done here at any price and others that are just plain cost prohibitive. Now having said that, I would not want the poisons from say a plating plant dumping crap into my lakes and rivers, so what do you do?
And yes I do buy American whenever possible, even my home computers are hand built from mostly US components ( what ever I can get ).
And now we are supporting them, at the expense of the American workforce.
Why is it that we are the only country in the world, that would rather send work away, than to put our citizens to work? It makes no sense whatsoever.

I guess that's why Triumph and others have outsourced production to their two new plants in India....
As far as China goes it's like anything else as it depends on what you are buying. At present China builds the best 1:18 scale Die cast motorcycles
and there quality is outstanding; I have roughly 150 of them. There level of detail is absolutely incredible. They also manufacturer the best small scale HO trains in the world.
Bottom line is the fact our government restrictions are killing production so why not build it elsewhere and still get the money while selling it here.. I don't personally care where they build it, just let me buy it. Can you imagine the effects of protectionism if an Executive Order came down the pipe that stated nothing could be brought into the US. It all has to be built or manufactured here and you can't ship the parts in to do it either? Talk about suicide, even Harley would die.....
I was at my dealer a about a year ago and saw this "Temperature gage dipstick" for my Softail. l thought that would look great on my bike. I took it off the shelf and it said "Made in Taiwan" underneath "Harley Davidson". I said to myself no way, thats gonna give me problems. About a month later I was at my dealer again with a gift card and said "screw it" I'll try it out. Sure enough it wasn't a month later and I was out ridin and when I got home I noticed oil all over my oil tank and down the side of my bike. I was freakin pissed!!! I took that thing out and smashed it with a hammer. I put the stock one back in and haven't had any problems. I will never buy another Harley "Genuine" part for my bike unless its made in America. I don't know if my stock dipstick was made in America but it doesn't **** oil down the side of my bike.
