Personally i would just take them off, takes all of 5 minutes to remove them and return the bike to stock. And certainly it would depend what type warranty work or service you are having done.I do all of my own servicing and annotate everything i do, keep receipts of oil and oil filter purchases etc, but if the bike needed some type warranty work i would just take em off.
+1 no sense asking for trouble. Like Mo Fo Joe said pop off the quick connects and hook back the wires.
2" Rush, XiEDs, Ness big sucker for 2k miles - no problems, no popping, plugs are tan. The ideal way to do a stage one is go with a sert or pcIII and have a good tuner create a custom map. XiEDs helped the bike run a bit smoother and made 6th usable, and cost probably $400-500 bucks less than going with a pcIII/tune. I'm sure I'll eventually go to a full tune when I get into the motor a bit more, but for now they've been great. I average 40-45mpg in mixed riding.
From: South of Raleigh, and west of the coast, NC.
Installed the XiED's with SE Breather and SE slipon's about 10,000 miles ago and have had no problems with them, seems to run a bit cooler in the summer but it is still HOT....
I have Gutted Screaming eagles with the Big city thunder monsters in the head pipe, Arlen ness big sucker open air cleaner and the Xieds for about 8,000 ,miles and no problems, Plugs look perfect. Temp rarely gets above 205 instead of always being 250 or so, Milage went from 42 to around 38. I like them.
I too swear by them ( the XiEDs ) , So many say you have to tune, but Ill tell you , Ive instaleld true duals, Se-slip ons, Stock air box, and the bike runs great, and quite a bit cooler. I thought maybe in time I would get a tune, but everything now is to good ,, Im leaving it alone.
ballpean ur on the right track, get the heat out of the motor and no stage 1 a/c to lean out further. ied's going on tomorrow on my 07 e/glide, 1.75 rush slip on, no a/c mod. all discussions with dealer and forum point in this direction, unless u step over to the efi tuner and dyno time. i am going your direction first. i ride mine like a geezer, just want it cooler and save the mechanicals. syn oil done 1st service

Straight through exhaust, KN HiFlow filter, XieDs on FXDF. Bob loves 'em. I leave them on when going to the dealer. You wouldn't remove a tuner would you? They would have to prove the XieD is or created a problem anyway-just thought I would add that in here......anyway, no issue and I am not doing anymore. I experience all the postives with them and well, there you go!!

The XIEDs perform as advertised. I had them on my '09 StreetBob and they worked just fine. If you take your time to install them, tucking and tying the wires up out of the way, etc,. the dealer will never know they're on unless they put it on the dyno.
