My local dealer actually has an 08 CVO Ultra on the floor as a leftover, the price seems to fall about $1,000 every other month.

Take the 16 grand you saved and build your own CVO.

I won't pay the price for the CVO's because I like to change things. In my mind if you change anything on a CVO you reduced the collector value.

do you really care? It's all about the performance, and I won't pay any more for a CVO than I would for one with a motor built by a good tuner. In fact, i'd pay less- the CVOs are pretty poor performers in comparison. Just shiny.

Buy the reg. Ultra and upgrade to a 103" with a good set of heads and cams and you'll have a faster bike than the CVO anyway. AND ALOT CHEAPER..

yes i believe ur right. the more i thought about it...that cvo reminds me of boating. everything u touch on it would be more than a regular ultra and i have no prob w/the regular ultra.

cost to purchase / ownership / operation / insurance. everything would be higher.
