I have been reading about these for a long time, but never really looked at my linkage. Do you need something besides the 2 heim joints to do the swap?
The rear shift lever in my bike is threaded 5/16-24 so you need a bolt to put in the rear. The front is a through hole so you can use 5/16- 18 or 5/16-24 but I would keep them the same if it were me. I got bolts from Lowe's but I had to cut them off to get the right length. You should use Loctite(blue) or a nylon cased locknut for the through hole. I think you'll notice the better feel when you're finished.

The hardware stores around here have stainless chrome bolts & nuts.
I'll pick up a couple of 5/16-24 nuts & allen bolts. You can also get the heim joints from Mid West with a 5/16-24 stud already attached to the ball as pictured here with the arrow for the rear end.
49.00 shipped was a great price for the Ness linkage as J&P & Drag Specialties are almost 2x the price with shipping. It's going on the Heritage. My Std already has heims.

A little high on the shipping. It was 14.00 for 6 pieces but no tax, Still cheap.
You can put a couple in your cart & click on enable shipping cost (top left of page) & you will see it there.
