'Cause looking like a "mushroom head" is the politically correct adjective for what one really looks like.
I prefer the great gazoo look alike analogy! I tried a german skid lid and looked like that darth vader dude in the movie space *****. Myself looking cool with a helmet on just aint gonna happen. I guess I'll just ride around looking like Gazoo.

Why is it that so many riders worry about looking like a mushroom head when wearing a helmet? If you think about it if you don't wear a helmet. Your head could endup looking like a mushroom. Sometimes I don't wear a helmet,I just wear a posser rag on my head. You no, like when you are going to cruise by a bike night spot or heavy populated biker area. Don't want to look like the old gezzer mushroom head. Got the fingerless gloves, vest with a lot of badges, and pins on it. Chinese made harley this, harley that. You know, boots that say Harley-Davidson, Belts that have harley etched on them,Harley socks,Harley sun glasses, and Harley boxer shorts. They don't show so maby we should wear them on the out side. Start a new fad. You know "lookin cool". Just foolin wanted to see how many souls i could stir up. Seriously I love this forum. A lot of information here and good entertainment to get through the winter.
scroll down this page and you'll see a pretty cool looking full face skull helmet. Safe and stylish too. http://www.ironhorsehelmets.com/novelty.htm Sure to keep the fashion police at bay. And good for hitting on hot babes too.
