Last bike I had, Harley of course, was insured through State Farm as they were the cheapest. I have all my cars and the house insured with them so I am sure that figures into the price. I rolled my 2000 Grand AM a few years ago and the way they handled everything after the accident was 1st rate. I even called their corporate office to tell them how fantastic everything went. Bet they don't get that call very much. Even if they were a few bucks more which fortunately they aren't, I would still go with them just for the peace of mind. An added plus is that when they repair your car, it is all genuine parts and none of that aftermarket crap that doesn't fit just quite right.
Hop on the internet and check out several companies.
Make sure that they are providing comparable coverage when looking at costs, i.e., some companies like Progressive usually provide Combined Single Limits per accident for liability coverage; others provide split limits for per person/per accident.

Sammi: Are those the HD crash bars?
Yes, had them installed before I picked up the bike.
I called HD Insurance (866-816-5817) and they got 3 quotes while I was on the line.
Progressive, Foremost, and one other.
Saved me the time of getting the quotes myself.
Went with Foremost - cheapest for the same coverage.

Same here. Foremost had the best price for me. You have to check for yourself. I know working in a body shop office I get to see who treats their customers good and who's on the cheap (when it comes to cars)
Has anyone had to make any claims on their bikes?
The best thing to do is to shop around like the other have said. On-line quotes are not always best, because they might not get you the best quotes, but call your local insurance rep and check what insurance companies they deal with and get the lowest price.
