I was all set to order a Nelson Rigg SVT600, but then I read a post or two of people that didn't like it. I was hoping to find a few more people that have this bag. I need it for a trip to the Dragon in May; I need a waterproof bag that can hold my clothes and sleeping bag in the roll pack, hopefully not too big. The SVT600 seems to fit the bill perfectly.
I bought a Nelson Riggs CBT 600 pack last year from Dennis Kirk for a cross country trip. Looks similar to the SVT bag. I was very happy with the bag. Alot cheaper than a T-Bag and in my opinion just as good a bag. The roll bag on top is not as large as it looks and I dont think it will hold a sleeping bag. There are d-rings and other attachemnets on the bag for attaching other items. I used the roll bag to hold my rain geat and an extra pair of shoes. The bag is also expandable and you'll be surprised how much it can actually hold. I'm very happy with the Riggs bag.
I have the SVT-600 and the wife and I have been on several trips, with no complaints. This will be the third year with this particular bag. It has preformed flawlessly in all types of weather. The storage space is adequate. I know some do not think it looks to cool, but I have not really noticed. It has got us to Sturgis, Daytona, Smokeys, DC, Biloxi, Myrtle Beach and several places in between.

Is the CBT-600 waterproof? I ALWAYS get caught in the rain.

Why don't some think it looks cool? I know it doesn't hold its shape all that well empty, but I don't plan to use it much empty. My sleeping bag rolls up pretty small, do you think a sleeping bag will fit in that roll bag?
Well I just measured my sleeping bag, and it will not fit in that roll bag. No chance. So maybe I don't really need one with that roll bag on top? I really don't want it up real high in the air, looks like it might throw off the CG or something!
I bought a used NR bag that looks similar to the Dayrunner, but not exactly. I like it very much. It seems well made and durable. Cheaper than the competition and just as functional. But the best part is I got mine for 30.00 and it looks as though it was never used.
